Plenty of people turned out to enjoy the sunshine and support the Good Friday Appeal.

The Bundalong Tavern Family Fun Day, raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, has been hailed an overwhelming success by organisers and participants alike.

With the official tally of just over $21,000 chief organiser Keith Allen said it was “an awesome day”.

“It really couldn’t have gone any better,” he said.

“The pub was full, the restaurant was full, the gardens were full.

“We estimated around 1,500 people attended and I want to thank the whole Bundalong community and the Yarrawonga Chronicle for supporting this fundraising event.”

The Bundalong Tavern Family Fun Day kicked off with entertainment provided by popular local musician Luke Dewing as well as pony rides, face painting, market stalls, various auctions and a jumping castle.

“Rod Williams donated a 65 inch television we could use as a main raffle prize which was amazing,” Keith said.

“This day was a win-win for everyone and I can’t wait for next year.”
