These kids were happy to give up their time collecting with the Mulwala Fire Brigade for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

Yarrawonga Riverlands held a pizza night recently with all money raised donated to the Yarrawonga CFA. Yarrawonga and Mulwala united to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal last week.

Central Murray Credit Union (CMCU) officer Julie Barnes said the community outdid themselves this year with more than $13,000 raised on the day.

The Mulwala Fire Brigade did the rounds on the NSW side of the river and collected $7,312.25.

ClubMulwala also donated $1,796.85 from collection tins placed throughout the club.

CMCU staff and their families rattled tins along Belmore Street on Good Friday and raised an impressive total of $3,032.90.

“This amount included the sale of tickets in our raffle of a gourmet hamper which was won by Christine Seabridge,” Julie said.

“We also had some over the counter donations which amounted to a further $1,225.69.

“The total amount raised on the day was $13,367.69 which is a very positive contribution from the two towns to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.”
