Changing the guard at MHA Care

April 27, 2017

MHA Care Acting Board Chair David McKenzie has announced that Wendy Ross had been appointed as interim CEO from April 19.

This appointment will be short term to allow the board to advertise the CEO role in coming weeks.

Former CEO John Dean was with the organisation for five and a half years, more than three of which were in the CEO role.

Mr McKenzie said the board thanks John for his valuable contribution to the organisation over a long period.

“We are now concentrating on recruiting a replacement to the role,” he said.

Ms Ross previously held the role of CEO at Moira Healthcare Alliance (as MHA Care was previously known) and is on secondment from Numurkah District Health Service.

She brings with her a great deal of experience in the area of Community Services.

Mr McKenzie stated it was a period of change in the home care industry with a move to consumers having much more say in how they want their service delivered.

“The board will continue to work with the staff to ensure that quality care was provided throughout the Moira Shire,” he said.
