ClubMulwala Snooker Club’s new junior member, Seth Edwards (14), had his first win in a game of doubles last Monday night since joining the competition.

Seth and his father Darren are both playing well and it’s good to have some new members join which are desperately needed.

If anyone has been considering giving snooker a try, now is the time to start, winter is quiet and numbers are down. Everyone is welcome at the club for a friendly game on Wednesday nights (social night), names in by 7pm.

Results from last Wednesday’s social night:

Semi final – B Jackson defeated J Cooke, H Lang defeated J Thompson.

Final – B Jackson defeated H Lang.

The Autumn Pairs have started and the teams playing are Darren Thompson and Darren Edwards, Angus McMillan and John Cooke, Jake Thompson and Seth Edwards and Barry Jackson and Mason Turner.

Halfway through the rounds and Angus and John are in the lead.

Next Monday and Tuesday nights the Autumn Pairs will resume.

On a sad note, previous club member and one of the First Lady members Lesley Donaghey recently passed away.

The club’s sincere sympathy goes out to all family members.
