Pigeons too strong for Wodonga

The Yarrawonga Under 14s highlighted their depth of talent with an even performance against fellow top four aspirant the Wodonga Bulldogs at JC Lowe Oval.

In a strong team performance it was a series of bottom age players who impressed the coaches with their ability to compete hard, use the ball well and provide run all over the ground.

2016 Under 12 Premiership players Jyda House (3 goals), Caleb Mitchell, Zac Fraser, Harry Nagle, Sam Hemphill and Jobe Kennedy all impressed the coaches with their team play and ability to impact the game.

Cam Lefevre played his best game for the year putting his body on the line while Austin Willett, Tyler Norman and Zach Cummins were involved in some strong passages of play.

Ned Pendergast and Jett Smith continued their impressive seasons with strong work all over the ground while Ben Woodburn’s running and willingness to put pressure on the opposition highlighted his improvement throughout the season.

Will Wheaton highlighted his flexibility winning the ball inside the contest before running hard and using his great skills.
