Once again Rennie had a lot of supporters cheering the teams on and the club appreciates the support.
A Grade

Rennie A grade had a very tough encounter against Yarroweyah.
There were multiple lead changes and it was an incredibly physical match. The Hoppers defensive pressure continues to impress and there were excellent patches of play over the court.
A new look attack end shows signs of improvement and as the season progresses the Hoppers ability to move the ball more effectively as a unit will only get stronger.

B Grade
Rennie Drew with Yarroweyah
Full credit to the B grade team.
With a slight issue with paperwork the teams first half score was wiped. So the second half the girls played an absolute blinder making the final score a draw.
The team pulled together and supported each other and the coaches can’t thank them enough for the effort not only the whole game but in the second half.
Shows anything is possible!
Awards: Lake Mulwala Hotel - Jill Haack, Terminus Hotel: Jess Westwood, Belle Pelle: Paula Mifka, Wingates: Catherine Shaw.
C grade

A fantastic win by the C grade girls who did everything that was asked of them at training.
This win was a true testament to a team effort, every player did their job well. Special mention to the shooters who were on fire and can’t forget high flying Knucky who racked up a number of intercepts and turnovers in defence.
Every week the Hoppers are improving and gaining confidence, let’s keep working hard girls.
It’s paying off.

Rennie 33 def Yarroweyah 23A great win for the girls this week. Ella Rhodes from under 15’s had a great half, running centre and taking some crucial intercepts while getting to play alongside her mum Tanya.
Some changes at half time had fresh legs running and ending the third quarter with scores tied.
The team was asked to dig deep and really push out the game.
The defenders worked hard applying pressure, Amy had quick run and strong passes into the ring and the shooters really stood up and finished out the game which saw the girls come away 10 goals winners.
Great effort everyone.
Awards: The Yarrawonga Hotel - Zoe Worland, Brick Lane Boutique - Emily Stanley, Thyme for Coffee - Erin Lawford.

A great game played by all the girls.
Defenders were strong again rebounding and intercepting well.
A combination of goalies, shot well and moved to provide plenty of scoring opportunities.
Hands over pressure was great all over the court.
Leading and creating space ensured Kaitlin and Alaniah received awards as well as Chloe for her goal shooting.

The girls adjusted well to multiple combinations in goals, defence and mid court.
The combination of experience and skills were too strong for the opposition.
Good win girls.

Coming off a loss, the girls were eager to win and put what they learnt at training into action.
All of the girls put out a full court effort and gave 110%.
Defenders provided plenty of turn overs, giving the goalies plenty of opportunity to shoot for goal.
There was great use of space and passes were accurate, resulting in a fantastic flow down court which was relatively hard for the opposition to shut down.
Great team effort girls!

Great display of sportsmanship from the Rennie minis. Playing a much smaller younger Yarroweyah side the girls encouraged all day and made some great decisions with the ball.
Some slight skill errors that the minis will work on during training.
The coaches are very proud of the way you conducted yourself during the game.
Awards: Rennie Canteen - Sophie Coghill, Courtyard Café - Charlotte Burrows, McDonald’s - Lucy Judd.
For the diary - The annual Mother’s Day dinner is to be held Thursday, May 9 after training when the Dad’s take over the kitchen and their cooking talents are put on display.
Don’t forget to invite your Mum’s, Nana’s and all the special ladies in your life.
Also don’t forget the Back to Rennie Day on Saturday May 11 for all past and present Rennie players and supporters.
