ClubMulwala Indoor BowlsMonday, May 29 there were 2 x 2 game winners with only 1 point separating them.
First were Brian Robertson (s), Ellen Buckley and Fran Smith with 34 points.
With 33 points Wilf Owen (s), Jeanette Davies and Dot Shanks come second.
In third place was Reg Bryce (s), Val Bryce John Wells and Jan Stephens with 24 points.
There was only 1 x 2 game winner on Thursday, June 1 which was Barb Eberle (s), Lyn Ryan and Joan Wilson with 36 points.
Due to the number of bowlers playing only 2 prizes were awarded. The second prize went to Wilf Owen (s), Joyce Torpy and Bev Tindale with 16 points.
Pennant – in round 9 played on Thursday, June 1 all teams played at home for the last time.
Mulwala 3 (Noel) played Mulwala 2 (Glenyce) and after a good game Noel’s team won by only 3 points 16/ 13.
The other team Mulwala 1 (Fay) lost on the last end to Corowa 1 (Dawn Sander) 17 /19.
Due to unforeseen circumstances in round 10 on Thursday, June 8 of our teams will go to Wodonga to play.
Mulwala1 (Fay) will play Wodonga 2 (Des Britt) while Mulwala 3 (Noel) will play SS+A 1 (Fran Elliot).GLenye’s team Mulwala 2 will go to Corowa to play Corowa 3 (Steve Jones). Only 1 more round to go before the finals start on June 22.
ClubMulwala Outdoor BowlsAnother mixed week with the weather, Tuesday wet and miserable, Sunday a perfect day for bowls.
Tuesday social bowls cancelled due to the weather.
Sunday, 10 teams took to the green fo 2-4-2 in absolutely superb weather, winners on the day were the old team of Eugene Hodson and Norm Elford, with runners up Peter Humphreys and Liz Murdoch, congratulations to all players.
The Jackpot did not go off.
Remember Social Bowls for the winter - midweek 12.30pm on Tuesday (names in by 11am on the day), Sunday 2-4-2 at 12.30pm (names in by 11am on the day).

Great to see Norm Elford and Eugene Hodson back on the green after their long recoveries from their respective health issues, welcome back gents.
Yarrawonga Bowls ClubThe club members draw did not go off on Friday night so it has now jackpotted to $80 this week. Did you know that if you are not there you can’t win it? So come along on Friday night and join in the fun.
To members who are in hospital now, get well and the club hopes to see you back on the greens soon.

Monday, May 29 Nominated Pairs winners were John Lowdell and Teddy Edwards, the runners-up were Gary Polkinghorne and N. Elford.
It was good to see 18 teams on the greens enjoying a great game of bowls.
The Jackpot was not claimed on the day so it has been carried over until Monday.
On Wednesday May 31, members played Jackpot Triples with 30 players on the greens and the winners were Val Kennedy, Greg Sharp and Carl Smith, the runners-up were Bobby Jeffcott, Joan Ramsdale and Jack Park.

Saturday, June 3 saw 30 players enjoying the sunshine on the greens playing a social game of 3 bowl triples and the winners were Ron Neilson, James Murdoch and Rodger McKenzie, the runners-up were Stuart Davey, Ray Sheridan and Liz Murdoch. Again the jackpot for the day did not go off so it has been carried over until Saturday.
Next week’s games will be played on Wednesday, June 7, Saturday, June 10 and Monday, June 12. All games start at 12:30pm and entries for these games close at 11am on the day of the game.

YMGCR BowlsThe club had 20 bowlers on Wednesday compete in the three bowl pairs, with the winning combination being Bob Evans and young Col Smith with 17 shots up.
Runners-up were Garry Presnell and once again Greg Green with 14 shots up, jackpot failed to go off .
The club also had 2 new members playing for the first time in Pam and John Snowdon, please introduce you to them and make them feel welcome.
Friday saw 24 bowlers take to the green, with the winners being Claire Sanders and Darryl Richmond (the whisper is Claire bowled superbly) and the runners-up were a visitor from Geelong Val Rumler and Celia Milne - well done ladies. There were no jackpot winners.
The new format seems to be working well with drawing for partners, so please support our hard working match committee.
