Masonic Lodge thanks

On behalf of the Yarrawonga Lodge of St David, I wish to publicly thank those wonderful people who contributed, either as a donor or buyer, to the success of our garage sale held at the Yarrawonga Masonic Complex on Saturday, June 10.
As a result of your generosity Friends in Common will benefit to the extent of at least $1000.
The final figure cannot yet be given as we are still negotiating on some items, but the result is fantastic and we are most appreciative.
I will not name names lest I forget someone, but the business sector as well as the private, made the end result possible.
Thank you.

Stan Clarke OAM
Master, Lodge of St David.

Courage and confidence thanks to YNH

I wanted to write this letter to say a huge thank you to Yarrawonga Neighbourhood House and in particular Pauline, Belinda and Trudi.
I recently completed Certificate 3 in Individual Support which was completed over a 12 month period and throughout this time I gained tremendous confidence and friendships I hope will last a lifetime.
I can vividly remember my first day, I was really nervous and sceptical about what lay ahead as this was the first time had been in a learning or school environment for 12 years or so.
I certainly had doubts on what I would be able to achieve but as the weeks went by I was put at ease through the encouragement and support of the team at YNH who have created a wonderful learning environment where each and every one of us could realise our potential to achieve anything we set our minds to.
To Trudi, our tutor throughout the course, your insights and industry experience was invaluable for us students in being able to achieve what we set out to do. You were always prepared and professional in your teaching and if you were unsure on certain aspects of the curriculum you took the time to make sure we were all up to speed which is a testament to the wonderful tutor that you are – thank you very much.
In closing, I would like to say that we are very lucky to have such a wonderful organisation such as Yarrawonga Neighbourhood House within our community and all the team at YNH should be commended on the work they do and the services they are able to offer.
I would highly recommend anyone thinking of changing careers or just wanting to further their education to go in and consult with the team as their expertise can provide you with a platform for the future and give you the confidence to achieve your goals which is something I will forever be grateful for.

Benjamin O’Neill.
