YMGCR Bowls
Wednesday pairs had 24 players and saw a three way tie with 11 shots up. Winning on a count back were Ian Cummings and Danny McNeill and tying for equal second were Garry Hart and Sharkie Lowson and Bob Evans and new member Peter Richmond.
The jackpot once again failed to go off.
The club only had 3 women playing, come on girls, put your name down and have a good day with us.
Friday another 20 players drew for partners for 2-4-2.
The winners were Danny McNeill and Neville Coleman with the runners-up Bob Fiddes and Betty Richmond.
Jackpot was shared by Marie Whitehead and her partner Celia Milne and Bob Evans and John Snowden.          
In the Australian Bowls Championship in Queensland Claire Sanders and Anne Miles teamed up with two Western Australian girls and made to the last eight beating a couple of Australian players, well done girls.
In last week article it was said that Darryl Dighton was coming back to YMGCR - not true he is going to ClubMulwala.

Yarrawonga Bowls Club
The Gladstone Park Bowlers are coming for their regular Yarrawonga get away, so on Saturday, July 1 and the club is hosting a casserole lunch at 11.45am.
If you wish to attend this please put your name down on the lists which can be found in the clubrooms. The cost of lunch is $8 and if you wish to participate in the game afterwards the green fees are also $8 (the green fee increase comes into effect on the July 1).
The results of the games played this week are;
Monday June 19 had 18 teams on the greens and the winners were Ron Peacock and Daryl Dighton, the runners-up were Brian Batty and Alan Tomlinson. The jackpot was not claimed on the day.
Wednesday, June 21, bowlers played 3 bowl pairs with 20 players on the greens and the winners were Neville Marsden and Jock McQualter, the runners-up were Kay Ross and Max Ramsdale.
The jackpot was also not claimed on the day
Saturday, June 24, social game of triples and the winners were Bobby Jeffcott, Teddy Edwards and Stuart Davey, the runners-up were Neil Hocking, D. Peace and Ron Nielson. Again the jackpot was not won so it has been carried over until next Saturday.
Next week games are; Wednesday Jackpot Triples, Saturday Social Game and Monday Nominated Pairs 2-4-2.
All games start at 12.30pm and entry for these games close at 11am on the day of the game. Please note the new green fees $8.

ClubMulwala Outdoor Bowls
It has been another mixed week of bowls for the club with Tuesday social played in very good weather and Sunday 2-4-2 called off due to miserable weather.
Mid-week Social results; Tuesday, June 20 winners Joye Bruce and visitor Geoff Lade, runners up Carmen Mangan and Cliff Morton.
The Jackpot was won by Nola Mongor and visitor Ron Birkett.
Congratulations to all players, lists are up for the coming week.
Remember Social Bowls for the winter – Midweek 12.30pm on Tuesday (names in by 11am on the day), Sunday 2-4-2 at 12.30 (names in by 11am on the day).

ClubMulwala Indoor Bowls
Monday, June 19 there were 2 x 2 game winners. Tricia Murphy (s), Jill Carr and Dot Shanks came first with 32 points followed by Val Bryce (s), Judi Cummins and Sue Stillard with 31 points.
The winner of Fan the cards for third went to Wilf Owen (s), Ellen Buckley, Phyllis Novotny and Frank Liberg.
There was only 1 x 2  game winner on Thursday, June22 which was Jill Carr (s), Ellen Buckley and Frank Liberg with 32 points. Second was Anne Mc Kain (s), C. Illingworth, Chris Liberg and Marita Ryan with22 points.
The winner of the Fan the cards for third went to Kay Ellis (s), Joan Wilson and Keith Green.
Pennant - The first of the finals was played on June 22 at Corowa between SS&A 2 (Wayne Perrett) and Wodonga 1 (Marj Mitsch). SS&A won so will go into the final. The score was 24/1 5.
SS&A 1 (Fran Elliot) played Mulwala 3 (Noel Owen) and Noel won 23/17. He will play Marj Mitsch on Thursday, June 29  at Corowa at 10am for a place in the finals against Wayne Perrett. Brave the cold morning and attend to cheer on the team.
