Photographic competition stunning success

Across the Arts Yarrawonga Mulwala President Maggie McCafferty hailed the 2017 Amateur Photographic Competition and Exhibition a “stunning success”.

“This event was held at the Yarrawonga Railway Station over the recent long weekend, a beautiful location for viewing the photographic artwork,” Maggie said.
“This was the second time we have held an event at this location.
“On behalf of Across the Arts I would like to thank the photo exhibition sponsors Federation Council, In Frame, Lake Mulwala Bakery, Moira Arts and Culture Inc, Purtle Electrical, Rich Glen, Spilva Stewart & Co, Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre, Yarrawonga Bulk Spreading & Fertilizer Service and the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort for their support.”
The winners were as follows –
Colour – Landscape/Still Life:  Winner Vick Cain (Pumpkin & Co), $150 sponsored by Spilva Stewart & Co; Runner Up John Osmond (Hay Plains), $50 sponsored by Yarrawonga Camera Club; Highly Commended Andrea Patford-Mitchel (Waiting).
Colour – Portrait/Creative: Winner Alexia Mitchell (Footy Hands 1), $150 sponsored by Purtle Electrical; Runner Up David Stillard (Cowboy), $50 sponsored by Yarrawonga Camera Club.
Black and White:  Winner David Stillard (Sheep Pens), $150 sponsored by Yarrawonga Bulk Spreading & Fertilizer Service; Runner Up Mickala Thomas (Taking A Moment), $50 sponsored by Moira Arts & Culture Inc; Highly Commended John Osmand (Wallace Hut).
