Three charged with burglary spree

Police are seeking to identify two women involved in a theft in Cobram.

Three people face a long list of charges in relation to burglary and theft in Yarrawonga, Cobram, Shepparton, Bendigo and Heathcote.

Detective Sen-Constable Matt Prestage from Cobram said police executed a search warrant at a property in Rochester on July 25.
Two people were taken into custody and police allegedly found a large quantity of stolen property.
A vehicle that had been the subject of a police investigation into several burglaries was also allegedly found at the property.
A man, 26, was charged with 26 offences including five charges of burglary related to thefts from car washes along with several attempted burglary and theft offences. He was remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrate Court on September 4.
A woman, 24, faces five charges including one count of burglary and charges related to the theft of a motor vehicle. She was bailed to appear in Cobram Magistrates Court on September 20.
Detective Sen-Constable Prestage said police then returned to the Rochester property on Friday, July 28 and arrested a third man.
The male, aged 27, faces 15 charges including four counts of burglary and three counts of attempted burglary. He was bailed to appear in Cobram Magistrates Court on September 20.

Belmore Street break-in
Police are investigating a break-in at a Belmore Street nail salon in the early hours of Friday morning.
Thieves forced entry into DL Nails and stole small quantity of cash sometime early on July 28.

Belmore Street accident
An elderly male and female were taken to Wangaratta Hospital after a collision with electricity pole on Belmore Street on Thursday, July 27.
The street was closed to traffic for a limited time while emergency services attended the scene.
Police are still making enquiries into the cause of the accident.  
Cobram theft
Police are seeking assistance to identify two women that stole approximately $700 worth of clothing from Mentha’s in Cobram on Tuesday, July 25.
One caucasian female, believed to be in her 20’s, selected several items of clothing before running out of the store to a waiting silver BA Falcon with false registration ZWW514 where the second female was waiting.
