The second season of Yarrawonga Mulwala Basketball Association Junior Domestic Basketball started last week with great participation rates in all age groups.
YMBA President Amanda Wheaton said the season had kicked off with great excitement and eagerness from all players.
“It was great to see so many kids so excited to be back playing again. It’s so important to keep our kid’s active and basketball is such a great game for this,” she said.
“We have fantastic numbers again this season, with our girl’s competition continuing to grow and develop and our Aussie Hoops Program being extremely popular again as a feeder development program.
“We really hope to have a new stadium in the next 3-4 years to accommodate the popularity of basketball in this town. It’s such a much-needed facility.”
