Local runners impress at Shepparton

Stacey Barrot won the Shepparton Running Festival Half Marathon event in a blistering 1 hour, 25 minutes and 25 seconds.

Local runners continue to impress at regional events with some great results at the recent Shepparton Running Festival held in late August.

Leading the impressive results was Stacey Barrot who won the half marathon event in a blistering 1 hour, 25 minutes and 25 seconds.
Stacey’s sister Megan Wood also placed third in the 10km event, while Brooke Williams finished second place in the 5km event.
Young gun Olivia Giggins completed her first 10km event in a fantastic time of 50 minutes, meanwhile Tim Roadley jumped out of his normal kayak marathon events to complete his very first full running marathon.
Other local runners to complete the half marathon were the team from Focus Gym which included; Skye Freeman-Bouchier, Jodie White, John Ferguson, Kim Finch and Emma Butler. Sarah Dare with her Dare to Train team from Yarrawonga and Rutherglen also competed.
