The Mulwala Water Ski Club has once again delivered valuable financial support for the fundraising efforts of local cancer support group Friends In Common.
Board President Len Langford and Director Gavin Williams presented June Probert and Liz Hasler from Friends In Common with a cheque for $800 to put towards the Cancer Awareness Breakfast to be held on Thursday, October 5.
The breakfast has become a popular event on the local calendar and will once again be held at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, from 7am to 9am.
Mr Langford said the Mulwala Water Ski Club was pleased to be able to provide continued support to Friends In Common.
“Everyone’s lives have been touched by cancer in one way or another and Friends In Common do an incredible job of providing great support for people locally and across the district,” he said.
“It’s the little things they do, helping with travel and groceries and other bits and pieces, that can make a real difference to people and their families when they are battling illness.”
June and Liz said the donation from the Mulwala Water Ski Club would go towards raffles and prizes for the Cancer Awareness Breakfast.
The breakfast is $10 for adults and $5 for children to enjoy a great morning of fun and friendship along with a tasty breakfast.
Don’t forget the Cancer Awareness Breakfast, Thursday, October 5 from 7am to 9am at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort.
