Chemist car crash

The car which appeared to have a mechanical fault jammed in the beauty room of the chemist.

A car crashed through the window of Terry White Chemmart in Belmore Street on Thursday afternoon causing significant damage to the front of the building.

Police said around 4.30pm an elderly woman, aged 74, was leaving a disabled park out the front of the chemist and appeared to have encountered a mechanical fault with the car causing the impact.
A witness reported that the car was still revving heavily after the accident.
A section of Belmore Street was blocked off for around 10 minutes while tow trucks retrieved the vehicle from the shop front.
Yarrawonga Police attended the incident along with the ambulance, tow truck and SES services.
Nobody was injured in the accident and the occupant of the vehicle was examined by paramedics inside Terry White Chemmart.
