Competitions close for the name the Pelican competition on Friday, October 20.
The Moira Shire Council are holding the competition for school students to give the pelican in the All Abilities Playground a name and go in the running to receive a gift pack and have their name displayed next to the sculpture.
To enter the competition students must fill out an entry form providing their name, age, contact details, the name they have chosen for the pelican and their reason for choosing said name.
Entry forms can be collected from the Yarrawonga Service Centre, Yarrawonga Chronicle or Yarrawonga Mulwala Visitor Information Centre.
Competition closes at 5pm, October 20 and entrants can return their completed forms to any of the three businesses where entry forms were first collected.
