Terry White Chemmart's helping hands

October 18, 2017

Cameron Wood from Terry White Chemmart will be wearing his full pharmacist uniform, except for the shoes, on Sunday when he takes on the 10km run as part of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Multisport Corporate Challenge.

When Yarrawonga Health’s fundraising arm, Helping Hands, decided to be involved in the Yarrawonga Mulwala Multisport Corporate Challenge, Yarrawonga’s Terry White Chemmart immediately rallied their troops to be involved.

Last year the pharmacy entered more than 20 employees and this year looks to be much the same.

“This year we also have a strong team again entered for Sunday morning,” Terry White Chemmart Pharmacist Cameron said.

“It’s a great initiative, every person and family in this community at some stage will need to call on the various services of Yarrawonga Health and this is a perfect way as a business to give something back,”

Terry White Chemmart will enter staff in a mix of the 5km and 10km walk/run events as a Gold Supporter of the Helping Hands Corporate Challenge.

The Helping Hands Corporate Challenge is aimed at engaging businesses and community organisations and groups to participate in a joint fundraising effort for the health service while at the same time offering the ability to promote their businesses and healthy lifestyles.

Helping Hands was launched last year to assist Yarrawonga Health in engaging with the local community to enhance community support for much needed replacement equipment and furnishings which are required to provide the highest quality health services for Yarrawonga/Mulwala and the surrounding communities.

For more information or to be a part of the Helping Hands Corporate Challenge you can contact Nedean Clarke at Yarrawonga Health on her email: [email protected] or phone 5743 8130.
