Former Tungamah premiership player Craig Whinray will return to the Bear Pit in 2018 to coach senior football alongside current coach Jeremy O’Brien.
Whinray brings to the role a great depth of football knowledge and said he is looking forward to the challenge of coaching in 2018.
He will join the experienced O’Brien at the helm who continues to deliver strong results for the club and will no doubt be a great driving force again next season.
The Bears have had considerable football success over the past few years and fell just short of premiership glory in 2017.
They will no doubt be looking to avenge their grand final loss in 2018.
The Tungamah Football Netball Club extends a warm welcome to Craig, his wife Tegan and their daughter Pippa.
The club also acknowledged the outstanding effort of outgoing coach Nick Doyle.
Doyle has been a wonderful servant of the club and has a long list of achievements under his belt including coaching the club to a premiership in 2014 and winning the Pierce Medal three times.
The club thanked Doyle for his efforts not just in 2017 but over his many years at the club.
