Can you conquer Aquazone?

November 08, 2017

The Aquazone aquatic waterpark is set to open on November 11 with much of the same format as last year as well as new surprises.

A big splash will be caused in Yarrawonga with the return of the Aquazone waterpark to the Yarrawonga foreshore on November 11.

Preparations are in full gear for the park’s second season and organisers have said they are expecting big crowds in the warmer weather.
Patrons can expect plenty of fun with the Aquazone social media accounts and website promoting a summer long festival of fun.
Managing Director Deb North said last year was a great success and this summer is looking to be one better.
“It’s hard to believe that only six and a half months ago we packed up after a whirlwind twenty three weeks of trade,” Deb said.
“This summer is about enjoying the season with our patrons and team after the huge learning curve of last year.
“Yet we are still tweaking and learning.”
Deb said the company still has so much to learn but they want people to be having fun.
“Being a start-up company there is so much still to develop and learn, so our aim is to deliver a fantastic experience for our patrons and grow our business to service the wider region,” Deb said.
“Last year was just fantastic for our first season so let’s hope we can build on that and the wonderful relationships with the other businesses in the twin towns of Yarrawonga and Mulwala.”
A fantastic feature of the Wibit Category 4 park is that it’s the most challenging of the range for its size, so Deb said she and her staff know their customers will be looking forward to seeing if they can conquer the course better than last year.
Aquazone have retained most of their original team with some having moved onto fulltime employment, university and gap year opportunities but Deb said it is good to have the mixture of old and new staff and she is looking forward to seeing how this season pans out.
“While we will miss the ones that left, the balance of our original team and our newer recruits is fantastic and they are all champing at the bit to get started so hopefully the weather will be kinder to us this year than it was last year,” Deb said.
“We have also implemented some new packages designed to support the local community and the holiday makers who enjoy Yarrawonga and Mulwala for extended periods.”
These new packages include a VIP unlimited jump pass meaning patrons can come as many times as they want and can come and go as they please but will still have to book due to the nature of the business.
A direct debit for family passes has also been introduced for those who would like the flexibility and another direct debit system introduced exclusive for VIPs so it feels like they are coming to the park for free.
