Murray River Boxing Gym in Mulwala handed over a cheque for $5,000 to Tanya and Ian Toms of Yarrawonga to help with costs associated with the sad passing of their teenage daughter Lily, on August 24.

The cheque was part of the proceeds from the third annual Murray River Rumble featuring 13 bouts at ClubMulwala on Saturday night, October 21.
“We were happy to help out, so sorry for your loss,” the rumble’s chief organiser Matt (Camel) Kennedy told Tanya and Ian. “If we can help out, we’re more than happy.”
The Toms expressed their appreciation and praise to the man popularly known as Camel.
“The organisers (which included Camel and Kyle Archibald) - the whole thing - was run fantastically,” commented Ian about the fight program at ClubMulwala which was attended by some 450 fight fans.
“It’s just been unbelievable support from locals - overwhelming really - and we certainly appreciate this cheque from the Murray River Boxing Gym.”
Tanya added her thanks and repeated the word “overwhelming” in respect of the community support such as the latest cheque from the boxing fraternity.
