This Saturday, March 17 the Devenish and district community will again hold their major fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal at the Devenish Memorial Sports Ground.
Past years have delivered an amazing display of community spirit and kindness with the community donating more than $20,000 for the appeal last year.
The day commences at 2pm and just the food is worth coming down for. Lamb and Pig on a spit will get you off to a well-fed afternoon while there will still be the traditional hamburgers and sausages as well.
For those who fancy a cold drink, there will be a fully licensed bar operating as well.
Raffles will be held throughout the day, as well as a spinning wheel with superb prizes.
At three o’clock a massive auction will take place with plenty of gear for mums and dads, the man on the land and the kids.
The day will consist of many activities for the kids, with face painting, lucky dips and free train rides on the Dookie Lions Express all taking place.
Later in the evening live music that appeals to everyone will be provided before the day will end with a spectacular fireworks display.
Come on down and experience country life.
