The Tungamah Fire Brigade and Kids raised $1095 to go towards the Good Friday Appeal.

The Tungamah Social Club and Tungamah Hotel held their annual Good Friday Appeal at the Tungamah Hotel last Friday with plenty of events to keep everyone entertained and a large amount of money raised.

Organiser Dianne Ford said they were very happy with the day and the amount of money that was fundraised.
“Our fundraising tally is up from last year where we raised $21,000 with the 2018 tally sitting in excess of $25,000,” Dianne said.
“The crowd was down from last year which was disappointing but people still made sure to dig deep and we are happy with the amount of money raised.”
A car rally, raffles including nothing under the value of $50, yabbie races, free show bags, jumping castles, an Easter egg hunt, live music and auctions were all held to help raise money for the fantastic cause.
Items including accommodation from Kennedy’s Holiday Resort and Club Mulwala, gravel and rock from Megarity’s and Lawrence Brothers, dressed lamb and pigs and dinner for eight in your own home courtesy of Butler’s of Numurkah were just some of the items lucky buyers were able to purchase in the auction with all proceeds going towards the appeal.
Diane said the genoristy of the township was great and the helpers she had on the day was even better.
“Our members that volunteered for the day gave 100%, they were absolutely marvelous,” Diane said.
“We hope to be even bigger and better next year with our tally increasing even more for the wonderful cause.”
