A 36-year-old Yarrawonga male is to be charged by summons after being intercepted in Belmore Street last week whilst being under the influence of Methylamphetamine and being in possession of a prohibited weapon.
Hospital vandal
On Saturday, August 10 at approximately 9.15pm two males, described as being aged in their 20s, one wearing dark clothing and the other wearing dark trousers and a light coloured top, were observed walking along Piper Street when one of the males proceeded to rip a treated pine post railing from a fence and then throw it through a window of a Yarrawonga Health building.
Unsuccessful theft of VT Commodore
An attempt to steal a VT Commodore racing vehicle from the front yard of a Hogans Rd property was unsuccessful on Monday, August 12. The owner of the vehicle returned home and found the bonnet had been opened along with a battery power pack attached to the vehicle.
Chainsaw thief
A chainsaw has been stolen from an Almonds Road, Pelluebla property on Friday, August 16. A silver coloured vehicle was seen leaving the area at the time of the theft.
Hogans Road and Highway intersection accident
A 66-year-old female driving a white Ford Territory failed to give way to a white Hyundai sedan at the intersection of the Murray Valley Highway and Hogans Road last week. The 87-year-old passenger of the Hyundai was taken to hospital for observation. A penalty notice was issued for failing to give way.
More bins set alight
Several recycling bins have been set alight at Bundalong on Friday, August 16. Police are still making enquiries into the incident. This latest incident follows an incident earlier in the year where bins were set alight along the Murray Valley Highway between Yarrawonga and Bundalong.
