Friends in Common are in the planning stages for their Cuppa for Cancer on Thursday, May 24 at the Ski Club to raise money for cancer research.

Inner Wheel cord blood stall
On April 27 Inner Wheel held their annual Cord Blood Day stall in the Grove Open Air Theatre Walkway in Belmore Street.
Thank you to all the public who were so supportive, generously buying raffle tickets and cord blood merchandise, making the day a great success and thereby raising funds for cord blood research.
The winner of the raffle for the fuel voucher was Steve Jenkins from Melbourne.
Bowls Club Biggest morning tea
Yarrawonga Bowls Club are holding their Biggest Morning Tea at 10am on Thursday, May 17 at the Bowls Club.
Don’t miss out and make sure to bring your friends along and enjoy a great morning.

Murray Valley Orchid Club meeting
The next general meeting of The Murray Valley Orchid Club will be held next Sunday, May 20, in the Senior Citizens hall in Hovel street Yarrawonga.
The hall will be opened at 12.15 pm for setting up and plants must be benched by 1.15 for judging.
The meeting will start at 1.30 sharp.
Our guest speaker will be Anna from Lawranna Orchids in Beechworth, so come along and listen to an expert.
If you missed out at our Orchid sale in Belmore street last Saturday, Anna will have more of her lovely orchids for sale at the meeting.

Volunteer Week
Volunteers are the fabric of our community. There are over 100 organisations in Yarrawonga Mulwala that would not function without volunteers
YNH, MHA Care, Yarrawonga Health and Club Mulwala are holding an afternoon tea Wednesday, May 23 from 1pm -3pm in the Endeavour Room at Club Mulwala to thank community volunteers for their valuable work.
There will be lots of lucky door prizes, entertainment and good company.

Burkes Biggest Morning tea
Burkes Hotel are hosting a “Biggest Moring tea” on Thursday, May 24 at 10am in their function room.
If you can come or can assist this great cause with any raffles prizes or donations don’t hesitate to contact Burkes on 5744 3033 or book your spot at reception.
Any donations received will be acknowledged on Burkes Facebook page.
100% of the profits raised are going to the Cancer Council and local Friends in Common cancer support.

Friends in Common Cuppa for Cancer

Friends in Common volunteers are preparing for their biggest fundraiser of the year with their Cuppa for Cancer to be held on Thursday, May 24 from 9.30am at the Mulwala Water Ski Club.
The event will run from 9.30am to 12pm with plenty of morning tea goodies on offer.
If you love baking and putting your skills to good use for a worthy cause, your help would be greatly appreciated to help with catering for the day.
Food donations of cakes and slices etc. can be dropped off at the Ski Club, St Cuthberts Hall or Material Girls in Belmore Street up until 4pm the day before.
There will be spinning wheels and raffles on the day with raffle tickets currently being sold at Woolworths and the ski club will be selling more on the day.
Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy a great day.
