Mulwala 67 defeated Numurkah 8
A very strong match by the Lions. With a full team, all back from injuries and holidays, the girls were pumped to get out on the court and get another win on the board.
The girls again started the game fast paced with a whopping 18 goals to 2. The defensive pressure and talk around the court caused many held balls.
Indi led the team well, attacking the ball and guiding her teammates all over the court.
It was a game for intercepts and Georgia was one that took many. It was great to see that the intensity and pressure didn’t drop for the whole game and the girls fought hard to reach 70 but just fell short in the end.
It’s a credit to the young girls, playing such good netball. Well done girls on the massive win.
B Grade no game due to Numurkah not having a team.

First game with the whole team! Everyone put up 100% effort.
Great work from the defenders, Heidi, Laura and Maddi. They put up a great effort against their strong attackers.
Great shooting by all shooters: Stassy, Brooke and Gracie. Sadly the Lions didn’t come home with a win.

After a big loss to Moama last week, the girls had plenty to work on at training.
It was evident in their game this week that the determination was high amongst the team. A strong first half from all on the court kept the game close although the last half saw Numurkah take away the win.
For a team that has only come together at the start of the season, it is great to see the bond starting to form and the skills within the team improving dramatically.

A great team game on a beautiful day for netball. The goalers started strong and defenders even stronger, taking intercepts and rebounds to keep Numurkah to just 4 goals in the first quarter.
The second saw more of the same with the girls putting pressure on right down the court, taking a 20-goal lead into the half time break.
A great team game saw the girls come home with a strong win 45 to 18.

What a difference a week makes! The Lions played a great game on the weekend.
They worked as a team, fought hard all game and put to use the drills that have been practiced at training.
Jemma and Emily were dynamite in goals. Ruby and Taylah stood out in the mid court, directing play and moving the ball down the court.
Every girl put in 100% and should be very proud.

The little Lions are working very hard at training, developing their skills which is showing through on the court game day.
They should all be very proud of themselves and what they have accomplished in a small amount of time.
The Lions threw quite a few turn overs. Mid court flowed well with Maddi and Nat taking the ball to the goal third, driving strong, and picking up loose players and balls when they could.
Well done to Bobbie for getting her first goal of the season, with Charli feeding the goalies beautifully.
Charlotte and Bell worked well both ends of the court, proving to be very versatile players. Well done girls, you should be very proud of yourselves.
