Riverina Division of National Association of Left-Handed Golfers Australia (NALGA) held their first event of 2020 at Thurgoona Golf and Country Club on Sunday, February 23.
The weather was perfect for golf and the Thurgoona Golf Course was presented in excellent condition.
31 players took part in a stableford event for both left handers and their right-handed friends.
There were 7 new players who played their first game with Riverina lefties and the club welcome them to the group.
The winners were;
Left Handers – Winner - David Gumbleton (Cobram- Barooga) 38 pts.
Runner-Up - Kaye Sutton (Finley) 36 pts on a countback from Colin Holdsworth (Tocumwal) also 36pts.
Right Handers – Winner - Terry Mullins (Tocumwal) 34 pts.
Runner-Up - Di Randall (Junee) 33 pts.
Nearest the Pins – Ladies - Helen Nolan (Albury) on the 6th hole.
Men - David Gumbleton (Cobram-Barooga) on the 12th hole.

The next Riverina Division event is at Finley Golf Club on Sunday, March 29.
Rivierina Division of NALGA has the privilege of hosting the 55th National NALGA Championships for 2020.
This major golf tournament will be held at Tocumwal Golf and Bowls Club from November 15 to November 20.
The tournament includes a welcoming dinner, 4 rounds of golf and the presentation dinner to finish a great week of golf.
