State selection trial invite for Chloe

As a result of her performance from the Inter Academy Tournament on the weekend, the State Selection Team has invited Chloe Brown to attend the trials for the 2023 Under-19 Victorian State Team.

Last weekend the under-19 Regional Team played a number of games against the under-17 Talent Academy teams in the Inter Academy Tournament.

The purpose of that tournament was to provide equal participation opportunities for academy players to be viewed by the under-17s and under-19s State Squad Selectors.

The under-17 successful names will be published on the Netball Victoria website on October 17 at 5pm.

Chloe’s trial will be held at the State Netball Centre on Sunday, October 16.

The State Selection Calendar consists of a squad selection, training days and then final team selection over four training sessions with a team being named at the end of November.

Chloe is thrilled to be still in the running for selection and said, “Im very lucky and privileged to have been given this opportunity to trial for the under-19 State Team.

“After two weekends in Melbourne, playing State titles and the Inter Academy Tournament, it will be a challenge and I look forward to playing with the other girls.”

Once the state team is selected they will compete at the National Netball Championships for 2023 with dates and locations yet to be decided.
