Kyabram, Merrijig and Chiltern rodeos form a three-day tri-series that starts on Friday and ends on Sunday evening of the March long weekend.
Kyabram rodeo’s Janelle McDonald said an unofficial count of the crowd had indicated more than 5000 people crammed into the showgrounds to watch the opening of what was the 27th year of the tri-series rodeo event.
She explained the tri-series continued to attract Australia’s best rodeo riders and both the other events had attracted big crowds and entries.
Shepparton News photographer Megan Fisher was responsible for putting together a spectacular catalogue of action shots from the event and more from her lens appear on page 11 today.
