Starting a new school year brings a lot of excitement and apprehension to households with a number of students shopping for their new school uniforms at Judds Yarrawonga expressing their mixed feelings of returning to school.

Prep student Madison Nagle will be starting school at Yarrawonga College P-12 when school returns on January 30 and 31, and when asked by the Yarrawonga Chronicle what she was looking forward to, said she was just excited to start school and see her older sister at the campus.
“I’m excited for school and to see my sister at school and play with friends,” Madison said.
As a prep student, starting school can be a nerve—wracking experience but having somebody right by your side for the big day makes the beginning of your school experience an exciting and joyous one.
This year twins, Addison and Poppy Kirchen will join their three fellow siblings at school and begin prep at Yarrawonga College P-12 with both saying they are looking forward to starting their new, big experience together.
“I’m looking forward to learning how to write,” Addison said.
“I’m looking forward to making new friends,” Poppy said.
Makenzie Clark who will be heading into her last year at primary level at Yarrawonga College P-12 said she is excited to head back to school.
“I’m excited to learn new things, see my friends everyday again and have fun,” Makenzie said.
Miller Sanderson who will be starting year five at Sacred Heart Primary School is both apprehensive and excited about returning to school but is looking forward to learning something new this year.
“I’m looking forward to seeing my friends again, kicking the footy and having fun but I also enjoy doing maths so I’m looking forward to learning new things,” Miller said.
Older sister Reese Sanderson has a big transition this year starting high school at Sacred Heart College but said she is looking forward to the different aspects of high school.
“I’m looking forward to learning new and different subjects, making some more friends and meeting the high school teachers,” Reese said.
“Writing is my favourite subject so I’m looking forward to doing more of that.”
