In the three-weeks lead-up to election day, the vast majority of voters had cast their votes, with 4,633 formal votes and 302 informal votes, at the Community Hall in Yarrawonga.
Then on election day poll, at Yarrawonga Secondary College, 1442 votes were cast, comprising 1,363 formal and 79 informal votes.
Before the counting day last Saturday Damian Drum received 2,585 votes or 55.80 per cent with another 645 votes on polling day for that day’s result of 47.32 per cent.
The Australian Labor Party, via Bill Lodwick, collected 985 and 310 votes respectively at the pre polling and polling occasions in Yarrawonga for 21.62 per cent and 22.09 per cent.
Next was Rikkie-Lee of Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party with 462 (9.97 per cent) and 182 votes (13.35 per cent) respectively.
At Tungamah, 177 voters attended the primary school to vote on polling day, with 162 formal votes cast and 15 informal.
Damian Drum received 70 votes (43.1%), a swing of +15.32 whilst the Australian Labor Party was next with 37 votes (22.84, also an upward swing, of 2.84% whilst 27 voters chose Rikkie-Lee for Pauline Hanson’s One Nation Party (16.67%). There was no Liberal candidate.
