Real Sociedad end goal drought in La Liga

By AAP Newswire

With three goals 10 minutes apart late in the second half, Real Sociedad have defeated Levante 3-1 in La Liga to end a four-match winless streak.

Chema Rodriguez put the hosts ahead less than five minutes into the match in Valencia but Sociedad rallied with three goals in 10 minutes courtesy of Theo Hernandez (73rd minute), Juanmi (77th) and Mikel Oyarzabal (83rd).

Hernandez's goal was Real Sociedad's first in 360 minutes of football and the win, Sociedad's first since the eighth round, moved the Basque Country club to ninth in the standings before the weekend's matches.

Levante, who hadn't lost in six matches in all competitions, stay seventh.

Spanish league leaders Barcelona host Real Betis on Sunday.
