Yarrawonga hosted its first junior tennis tournament as part of the Sportspower Series for the season.

The Godfathers Tournament attracted a very strong field from across the north east region.
The tennis played was of an extremely high calibre with many matches lasting as long as an hour for a single set.
It was terrific to see novices commencing in the 8 and under divisions hitting on the courts next to the experienced 16 and under players.
Many local players did extremely well with Liam Williams, Lucy Bassett and Jack Bassett winning ‘A’ division titles and Darby Thompson, Olivia Corso and Emily Linehan coming runners up.
Ian Dimble, Daniel Herrod, Maisee Pell, Emma Thompson and Jess Linehan played very well to win ‘B’ Division titles whilst Kerth Martin and Jess Arnold claimed runners up trophies in this division.
The Yarrawonga Lawn Tennis Club acknowledges the Godfathers as a long-term sponsor of this tournament.
The players appreciated the wonderful trophies that were possible from the Godfathers donation.
