The Lakers dismissed the Magpies for 104 and are 1 for 37 in reply.

The Lakers were able to share the bowling load amongst a number of players with the pick of the bowlers Corey McIntosh 4 for 35, Brock McCabe 3 for 29 off 15.3 overs, Will Sharp 1 for 14 off 9 overs and Brendan Lewis 1 for 17 off 12 overs.

Wicketless Angus McMillan 0 for 7 off 6 overs was a vital player in restricting the Magpies to just 104.

In reply with the bat the Lakers were 1 for 37 off 13 overs at stumps on day one with Ben Irvine 18 and Angus McMillan 7 both not out.
