In the netball Echuca A grade are the reigning Goulburn Valley Premiers, the girls played a 42-42 draw. We welcomed (back) new mum Laura Irvine (Bourke) and new to the club 17-year-old Elle Brooks from Shepparton United.
In football, both sides were missing experienced campaigners.
There was plenty of interest in former Carlton player Andrew Walker for the Bombers.
This coming Saturday there will be football practice matches against Wangaratta Magpies.
10am (Under 18s), 12pm (Reserves) and 2pm (Seniors) at the JC Lowe oval.
Both clubs will convene on the Malibu Deck at the SkiClub after.
All supporters and members encouraged to join the players.
On Friday night, the Sunday junior boys play Corowa in a practice match at the JC Lowe Oval at 5pm (Under 12s) and 6.15pm (Under 16s).
Womens footy play a practice match against Tatura on Sunday morning from 12pm (open) and 1.30pm (under 16).
There will be a jumper presentation upstairs after with family and friends welcome.
Our netball court is being readied for renovation, while the new court is almost here.
Hopefully concrete is poured within the next fortnight.
