The commitment of a local business supporting local talented athletes in not only their development as footballers, but as young adults is something both entities are passionate about.
Female Talent Coordinator Briana Cossar said: “The Murray Bushrangers Football Club provides an elite football development and education program for talented young athletes within our region.
“The club is committed to ongoing improvement through innovation, community partnerships, education and the development of our players and staff.”
YMGCR’s CEO Greg Ferguson said the connection sporting clubs had to their communities was tremendous and YMGCR were excited to be involved in the development of young athletes.
“Registered Clubs have an inherent strong community spirit and we here at YMGCR enthusiastically support this elite pathway program,” Mr Ferguson said.
“We enjoy the opportunity to encourage an active lifestyle, along with the development of junior athletes through sport and education programs.
“What an exciting time for AFL and AFLW young athletes in our region and as keen football followers, we will watch our young female footballers and locals develop throughout the year and beyond.
“We will work closely with Bri Cossar and the AFL to support this exciting elite talent pathway.”
