Darcy, Archie and Ella Skehan along with Paige Duffy all competed well at the championships held at Casey Fields in Cranbourne.
It was an amazing achievement having all three Skehan children qualify as less than one per cent of children make it to a state level in athletics.
Ella ran 100m and 200m under 12 girl sprints finishing in the top 20 in both events in the state.
Archie also ran 100m and 200m under11 boy sprints making the final in the 100m finishing 8th in the state.
Darcy was the first boy from YMLA to ever make it to state in all four events, with three top 20 finishes in under 9 boys long jump, 60m hurdles and 100m sprint.
Darcy ran a great heat in his 70m sprint to make the final to narrowly missing the podium and finished 5th in the state.
Paige competed under an injury cloud in three events; Under14 girls 80m hurdles finishing 10th, triple jump finishing in the top 20 in state and high jump just missing a podium finish on countback coming 4th with a National qualifier jump of 1:55cm.
Club President and Coach Chris Duffy would like to thank the athletes for competing and showing great sportsmanship towards all their very strong competitors and giving it their all over the two day meet.
They did their club and Yarrawonga Mulwala proud.
It has been a successful year for YMLA and the club is looking forward to the next season.
