With a week off and a new look team due to two out with injuries, it was a slow start getting used to new players and new positions.
The girls welcomed new player Charli Bell and Mel Purtle, who returned to the court after a few years away from the game.
Also, upcoming junior Freya Fletcher held her own as well.
The Lions went into the third quarter trailing by 7 goals but something switched and the girls upped their defensive pressure, causing numerous turnovers in minutes and finishing up the third quarter up by 3 goals.
Going into the last, the girls kept up the intensity finishing the game strong 43 to 36.

The girls came out sluggish and Barooga capitalised on this. The girls just couldn’t find their mojo and went into the half time break 8 goals down and at one stage during the third quarter saw them trailing by 11 goals.
However, they came out to play their game in the last quarter, scoring 5 goals to 0 to start turning things around, their teamwork continued throughout the quarter to see them come back but falling short at the final siren with Barooga coming away winners by 2 goals.
Positive of the game for Mul was that when they play their game they are the better side.
