Hosted by the Yarrawonga & District Little League (football) and Yarrawonga & District Netball Association, the event will draw hundreds of children and families to the Yarrawonga Vic Park Precinct for what is promised to be a fantastic fun day of sport and entertainment.
From 9.30am juniors will play in a round robin format featuring football teams with 9 players and netball teams with 7 plus a reserve. Age groups sides include 8 and under, 10 and under and 12 and under.
Event committee member Scott Jaques said the event would be similar to previous years.
“We expect over thirty teams from all over nearby towns such as Myrtleford, Finley, Corowa, Wangaratta, Jerilderie, Cobram, Coreen and of course local teams from Yarrawonga, Mulwala, Rennie and Tungamah,” Scott said.
“This will be a great opportunity for local kids to fine tune their game.
“It’s free entry, starts at 9.30am and will likely finish around 1.30pm. There will be a canteen available but the event is smoke and alcohol free.
“We encourage all parents and friends to come down to watch and support what will be a fantastic fundraising event for junior sport and the Sacred Heart and Yarrawonga P-12 Primary Schools.
“We are still looking for some parent volunteers from both Yarrawonga primary schools to help run the canteen,” Scott said.
This great initiative will see any profits made split between Yarrawonga & District Little League (football), Yarrawonga & District Netball Association, Sacred Heart Primary and Yarrawonga P-12 Primary.
