With 95% of the side 18 or younger this weeks game was all about confidence building and working hard. Brooke Knight stood out in GK in the defence end and Ella Rhodes worked tirelessly in goals. Laynee Rhodes came into the side from under 15s and impressed with her calmness and great passing. Some settled play saw Rennie leading the whole game and although at times Rennie made mistakes and were unable to break away on the score board, they kept their heads up and came away with the win. A great team effort and some momentum is building after having 2 weeks off.

Firstly, massive thanks to senior head coach Paula for stepping in whilst coach Brooke was unwell. The girls this week had a focus on utilising their voices and cone work.
Sophia Shaw, Scarlett York and Georgia Phillips worked hard and tirelessly to create space and feed the ball into a range of shooters this week.
And with a whopping 63 goals from Ella Rhodes, Grace Stephens and others, the work from across the court was not wasted.
A huge all round defensive effort from Abbey Coghill, Jemma Adkins, Zoe Mckenzie and Mia Doherty, the opposition struggled to get the ball into their attacking end.
With next week off, let’s look forward to enjoying training this week!

This week the girls travelled to Blighty and came out firing as always. With a few new combinations in all areas of the court it was fantastic to see the girls adjust to the changes and not have it affect their mindset of the court.
The girls covered every ball and everyone on the court took an interception resulting in goals. It’s amazing to see these girls develop into beautiful young netballers.
They focused on coming forward and moving in the ring. The girls should be very pleased with themselves this week. Great game.

The girls were fantastic this week at focusing on hands over every ball. Every single girl backed each other up on the court resulting in a lot of turnovers.
There was zero stepping on the court which is amazing to see. The young Hoppers are finding their voices slowly on the court and it’s fantastic to see them grow and develop as a young team.
Great game girls.
