Blighty 29 defeated by Tungamah 45.
It was a cold and windy day out at Blighty, which allowed the girls to be able to change things up when it wasn’t going their way.
The Bears had a slow start to the first quarter getting used to trying out the new combinations, however once they worked themselves into the quarter, the Bears had lots of impressive turn overs down the defence end and also some lovely plays in the attacking end, putting to play all the things worked on in training.
The talk this week was much better all the way from one end of the court to the other, making it easier for girls to cause turnovers.
The wind picked up throughout the game, however that didn’t stop the goalies from sinking their shots. The Bears were lucky enough to have another young star debut in her first A grade game, that being Anna Zanin who played a lovely quarter in WD causing multiple errors.
Thank you, Anna, for stepping on the court and playing with the A Grade.
Awards: players player: Wingates - Sophie Harmer & Coaches award: Yarrawonga Pilates - Chloe Lawless.

Blighty 14 defeated by Tungamah 60.
This week the girls came to play! A cold, windy day gave the girls more options to move and practice new skills within their game as a team.
The Bears put forward their competitive defence all the way from the attacking end down to the defence, causing multiple turn overs from the first centre bounce.
The girls transitioned well from defence to attack using more talk to support each other. Positive game for all.
Congratulations to Addieson Priestley in making her senior debut. Addieson is one of the Bears under 17s key players. She has played at Tungamah for several years.

Blighty 30 defeated Tungamah 21.
It was a sunny but windy day at Blighty. The girls came out nice and strong in the first quarter and were able to get some good intercepts, turnovers and provide strong passes.
However, the Blighty girls were a little bit too strong and the Bears weren’t able to get the win. The girls pushed hard to the end of the game and didn’t give up.
As a team the 17s still have some areas to work on to reach their full potential.

Pocket rocket Annabelle was constantly running all over the court and dodging her player to make herself available.
Cydee worked well in Centre attacking the ball hard and leading it to the goal end.
Phoenix used her height to her advantage as she easily intercepted the ball. Emma took on feedback given and started to lead forward to the ball.
