Former Victorian corrections minister Steve Herbert has reimbursed taxpayers after being overpaid in 2014.
Mr Herbert, who was forced to resign from his ministerial role when he was caught getting his taxpayer-funded driver to ferry his dogs between two homes, told reporters on Tuesday the issue was identified last year and he paid it back.
The revelation comes the same day the parliamentary audit committee is expected to receive an independent report into the second residence allowances claimed by former speaker Telmo Languiller and his deputy Don Nardella.
