“We could squeeze a few more groups in – the event is so massive,” Corowa Golf Club head professional Rob Rowe told The Free Press.
“We are super excited to have this event. It’s great for the club to showcase what we have.
“It’s a wonderful line-up, the sportsman’s night will be sensational, the course is in magnificent condition, it’s all systems go.”
The 2019 co-sponsored Mizuno and Betfair Marcus Fraser Ambrose event hits off this Friday, via the usual Friday Night five-hole shoot-out, with Meet and Greet Barbecue at 2.30pm. Plenty of activities will be available for the youngsters, including the Jumping Castle.
Then an expected 720 golfers will, on Saturday and Sunday, take to the Corowa Golf Course fairways.
The golf presents the public with a wonderful opportunity to see a lot of great golf by the likes of big names Keiran Pratt, Brendan Goddard, our own star international Marcus Fraser and plenty of fine amateur players.
It also provides golfing and sporting enthusiasts – particularly AFL fans – the rare chance to see a star-studded line-up of celebrities play the most played sport in the world.
After day one’s play, it’s into the golf club for the sportsman’s night. What a night that will be with tournament organizer Shaun (Magro) Whitechurch firing question after question at the celebrity stars including Peter Daicos, Keith Greig, John Longmire, Keiran Pratt and Jack Dickins. Auctioneer extraordinaire John Fraser will be in full flight with a wide range of excellent sporting memorabilia.
Sunday’s play will conclude with presentations in the clubhouse. For hit-off times, refer to the Marcus Fraser Ambrose Facebook Page.
