The under 16s side took on Lavington and gave it their all but were beaten by an excellent Panthers outfit. With the midfield on top early, the Felines took an early lead after a run through goal by Caitlin Somerville. Once again the team had plenty of forward entries without taking advantage of their chances and applying scoreboard pressure.
The Panthers were able to work their way back into the game and scored two second quarter goals to take a narrow lead into half time. The third quarter was a real arm wrestle with both teams tackling ferociously and applying plenty of pressure around the ball. At three quarter time there was still only a 10 points deficit the Felines were chasing. However, in the dying moments of the game Lavington poured on the goals and ran away with the match. The scoreboard doesn’t truly reflect how tight the game was.
Final score: Lavington 6-7-43 defeated
Goals: Caitlin Somerville.

It was another commendable performance by the Murray Felines Women’s side against the unbeaten Panthers. Huge thanks to Lavington for loaning the Felines four players each quarter and for still playing their hearts out. The Felines continue to improve each week with their skills and teamwork was evident throughout the game again. If they keep working hard, a win will not be far away.
Once again the scoreboard did not reflect the even competition with the Felines really holding their own without but without being able to translate it into scoring opportunities.
Final score: Lavington 8-16-64 defeated Felines 1-3-9
Goals: Chiara Hocking
Best: Emily Nicholson, Skye Simpson, Tahlia Simpson, Carlie Smith, Emily Gardiner and Brit Kungl.
