With Friday set to be a busy day, some towns have already held their fundraising events including Devenish, who this year combined with Dookie to host their annual fundraising event.
Devenish have been amazing in their fundraising efforts, with the town officially raising an overall total of $74,096 since 2017, with their 2018 total tallying a whopping, $52,084.
This Good Friday, April 19 the following events will be held around the region:
Bundalong
Every year the Bundalong Tavern along with some dedicated locals from the Bundalong Tavern Assist Committee (Sput, Kippa, Dani, Brett and many more loyal members of this wonderful community) get together and raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
This year they will be raising money for local Bundalong boy Cove Burns.
Cove spent three and a half months in hospital recovering from a near drowning which resulted in him acquiring a brain injury and dystonia.
Cove is trying really hard to one day communicate and be able to control his movements.
From 12pm on Good Friday, April 19 the Cove Burns Easter Family Fun Day and Market will be held at the Bundalong Tavern.
Within the past three years Bundalong has raised well over $75,000, with the committee this year deciding to support the Burns family that have been through a really rough time.
There will be 60+ market stalls, carnival rides, a clearance sale on Saturday, auctions, live music daily, raffles plus food trucks which will be here all weekend.
The staff at Bundalong Tavern and members of the Bundalong Tavern Assist Committee hope to see you all on Friday, April 19.
