Car hits fence of Shepparton childcare centre

By Shepparton News

A Shepparton childcare fence has been destroyed after a two car collision on Hawdon St at about 12pm today.

The two cars travelling in opposite directions collided, causing one of the vehicles to swerve onto the footpath and into the childcare centre, taking out several panels of fencing before coming to a halt.

Shepparton police senior constable Glenn Fitzgerald said there were no injuries sustained by drivers or from inside the facility, however children were at play outside during the incident.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined; however medical conditions could be a factor.

Florina Pre-School & Daycare director Kristy-Lee Ralph said all the children are safe and secure and the centre has organised temporary fencing to be installed by the end of the day.
