After coming off with a win last week against Bargooa the Bears girls knew another win could be in sight.
The A grade girls knew they would have to fight if they wanted to come out successful. The first half saw the girls come out firing with the defence of Jorja and Milly who got some really good intercepts, having their hands over the ball at all times meant the Katandra goalies had to work extra hard all game.
Shooters Chels and Zetta moved the ball around the ring perfectly, making almost every shot or getting the rebound to secure a goal.
With yet another hot day changes allowed fresh legs to come on which shut the Kats attack down.
Sharine came back on in the third quarter with her great talking and driving at the ball the girls were able to deliver the ball down the court.
Ella played a great game in the mid court with Vic and Ally who were able to intercept beautifully and back each other up.
Maddie provides great drive in defence in the second half.
With a good lead going into the last quarter the girls knew they were up and had to hold onto that if they wanted to win.
The girls kept strong to stay in front and came away with a 15 goal win. Great game by all Tunga girls.
Awards: Zetta Kelly- Best on and Thyme for Coffee, Chelsea Marks- Judds, Jorja Goldman - Tungamah Pub.

A quick goal to begin the match gave way to some dropped passes.
Strong defence against tall shooting opponents.
With changes in the second, it was a good strong start with Tungamah scoring the first two goals.
Great passages of play with turnovers from the keepers, bringing the ball down to the shooters resulting in goals.
Great leads with very few unforced errors gave the Bears the advantage and resulted in them coming away with their first win for the season.
Awards: Kara Lawless – Wingates, Amy Griffith – Brewit.

The girls knew they were in for a hard game, another hot day and tough competitors.
Determined to give it their best, stay positive and have a good time the Bears had a great first half.
Only down by 5 at quarter time Tungamah were very proud of the team effort.
Vanessa providing great defensive pressure in wing defense working tirelessly then calling time for a hydration break (netball needs waterboys in warm weather).
Kim never letting down her fight for the ball and gaining much needed intercepts.
The Bears will work on fatigue throwing off passes and not rushing the ball once Tungamah have it.
Awards: Byramine Homestead and Brewery - Vanessa Piorek, Thyme for coffee café - Kimberly Walker.

Another hard fought game in hot conditions for the girls.
Using the whole court, intercepts were made, especially by mid court, taking the ball down to the shooters. Although position changes, the girls made some lovely intercepts, opening up court for nice clean solid passes against a tough side.
Well done girls, and good luck for next week.
Awards: Penny Thomson – Judds, Ella Costigan – Subway, Ruby Wallden – McDonalds.

What a great day it was to play netball. It was great to have Savannah Wallden back after injury working hard in the centre creating a lot of turn overs.
The goalies worked hard together and created lots of great plays with Bella and Hayley.
Piper Poll played her first game for Tungamah for the season and is a strong inclusion for the side.
Jess fed the goalies well with her smart decision making and strong drives into the ring.
Emma is showing what a great WD she is with giving her player no space creating opportunities for turn overs in defence.
Emmy and Jade were strong in defence showing what a great duo they are becoming, fresh legs coming on at half time really helped the girls hold up in the heat with Bella Bridgeman and Frances Lonergan playing a great defenders game.
Unfortunately the girls couldn’t come away with the win in the end but it was a great game the girls showing huge improvement in short 3 weeks.
Keep up the hard work.
Awards: Subway award: Savannah Wallden, McDonald’s: Emmy Brookes, Papalias Pizza: Hayley Webster.

The girls secure their second win for the season. They knew they needed to apply the skills they have been working on at training to improve on last week’s game.
The defence played a tight game resulting in many turn overs and a nice flow down the court for goalies to have plenty of scoring opportunities.
Awards: McDonalds - Heidi Walden, Crusty Loaf - Millie Dodd, Video Land - Charlotte Goudie.

What a beautiful day for netball. The girls hard work at training has paid off to give them their first win of the season and they were pretty excited about it.
Alani was unstoppable in goals shooting 19 out of the 21 - all her practice has been beneficial.
She had good support from Lara in the first half who moved forward at every opportunity and was unselfish in passing closer whenever the option was there.
Chloe provided strong drives down to attack and picked the right option to pass on to many occasions.
Shylee was strong in the centre and ran out the whole game. She ran into spaces making it easy to get the ball to her and then delivered into the goal ring without wasting any time.
Emily C provided excellent pressure with great distance and hands over every pass.
This pressure allowed for Emily B and Elli to turn the ball over again and again, both playing in front of their players.
Emily B provided nice strong leads out of defence and was easy to throw to.
Elli also had a turn at GS and shot 2 goals. Maddison timed her leads really well, she was fast and got in front of her girl. Her passing options were spot on also.
Chaye and Molly both unselfishly helped out the opposition so the game could go ahead.
It’s tough to play against your own team, but both girls tried really hard.
When Chaye switched back to Tungamah in GK, she turned it over regularly providing lots of chances for her team to score.
Molly went into WD for Tungamah and applied just as much pressure with hands overs every pass.
Great game girls.
The ball skills are really improving and some great team work this week. Next week’s goal from coach Debbie is to lead in front, even when the Bears get tired - it makes it much easier.
