YLTC made the trek out to Savernake over the weekend and it was the home side who proved that they had the goods throughout the course of the day.
Yarrawonga started well in the men’s winning 4 out of the 6 sets and opening up a 9 game lead 29 games to 20.
The Savernake women were dominant taking all 6 sets and only allowing YLTC 6 games in the process.
This left Yarrawonga with too much to do in the mixed and this proved the case with Savernake winning 3 of the 4 sets.
They ended up getting the win 11 sets, 79 games, 6 points to Savernake 5 sets 48 games 2 points.
Burramine vs Wilby
Burramine hosted Wilby on Saturday and it was the home side that was a bit too strong on the day.
The Burramine men won 5 out of the 6 sets and lost the other set 6/5 to open up a 22-game lead.
Not to be outdone the women did exactly the same thing winning 5 out of 6 sets and losing the other 6/5.
They won by 17 games and this carried on in the mixed with Burramine winning 3 out of the 4 sets to take the win 13 sets, 90 games 8 points to Wilby 3 sets 29 games 0 points.
Telford vs Tungamah
Telford hosted Tungamah on the grass on Saturday and the home side gave the reigning premiers a bit of a touch up.
Telford won 4 of the 6 men’s sets and opened up a 14 game lead.
They also won 5 out of the 6 women’s sets to set up a big lead heading into the mixed.
They consolidated their win in the mixed winning 3 out of the 4 sets to get the win 12 sets 88 games 8 points to 4 sets 41 games 0 points.
