Please have your name down on the sheet by 6.15pm.
Anyone who would like to try a game of indoor bowls is very welcome to come along and have a go.

Club/State Events
Men’s 21 Up - The final four of the Men’s 21 Up has been decided and the semi-finals will be played by Garry Sanders and Ray Brown, and Peter Lidgerwood and Don Ellis.
Ladies Pairs - Winners moving through to the next round are Caroline Reilly and Kim Johnston, Marie Morffew and Betty Richmond, and Laureen Smith and partner Rhonda Irvine. One match is still to be played in the previous round.
Victoria V South Australia Test Series
Anne Miles and Claire Sanders spent last week in South Australia playing for the Big V.
The Victorian’s were triumphant in all 4 tests and came home with the coveted trophy. Well done, girls. Yes Claire, even though you have just celebrated your O birthday, you still qualify to be called “girl”.
Anne also received a special presentation. Anne has now played 100 games representing the Big V. Awesome, Anne!
O&M Events
January 23 and January 30 the greens will be used for the O&M Over 60’s pairs. Why not come along and encourage the bowlers competing.
Barefoot Bowls
The Barefoot Bowls Annual Charity Challenge is now under way, with the first round to be played next Tuesday, January 28. Even if you are not involved in the competition, visitors are welcome to share with the players in their fun and fellowship.

Club Mulwala Outdoor Bowls
First and foremost the club as a community bowling club send heartfelt condolences to those families who have lost loved ones in the recent catastrophic fires throughout the country.
We are thinking of those whose lives have been changed forever through the loss of homes, possessions and livelihood. God bless you all.
After an extended break due to Christmas/New Year and the fires, it was a very welcome change to be able to get back on the greens and the business of competitive sport.
Saturday, January 18 – Weekend Pennant Results
Division A4 – Club Mulwala 101 (16) defeated Wangaratta 78 (2).
Ladder Position – 1.
Division B2 – Club Mulwala 70 (2) lost to Corowa RSL 72 (14).
Ladder Position – 4.
This was Corowa RSL ‘s home game which was played at Mulwala due to air quality (smoke).
Sunday, January 19 - Men’s Nominated Pairs round 1.
Only one game was played on Sunday and a small but enthusiastic crowd was entertained by a very close game of ever-changing score leaders.
Final results were as follows:
Kerry Merrett/Jason Milich 22 defeated Graeme Arnold/John Thurling 20.
Round 2 is to be played next Sunday, January 26.

Yarrawonga Bowls
A date for your diary, the next 2 Bowl Triples Tournament is on Wednesday February 5. The sheet is up for those wishing to put a team in.
The Ladies Pairs Final will be played this Friday January 24 at 9am for anyone that would like to come and watch.
It is between Kaye Tait/Ros King and J Hermassoo/Ev Calder.
The Men’s Pairs Final was held on Sunday January 19, between Roger McKenzie/Richard Hermassoo and Tim and Kobie Cromie.
Congratulations to the Winners - Tim and Kobie. Congratulations also to Roger and Richard for being the Runners Up.
The B Grade Singles Final was also played on the same day between S Maddox and R Jeffcott.
Congratulations to Shane (one of the clubs newer bowlers) on being the B Grade Champion for 2020/21.
Congratulations also to Bob on being the Runner Up.
Pennant results -
Midweek Pennant - Tuesday January 14 - All pennant was cancelled due to the fires.
Weekend Pennant – Saturday January 18 - A1 played Benalla at home and lost.
A3 played Benalla at Benalla and lost.
B2 played Corowa Civic at home and lost.
Social Bowls Results -
During this time of year, the Social Bowls may be cancelled due to the heat and low numbers.
Please keep an eye on the board to confirm these events.
No bowls will be held for days over 38 degrees.
Monday 2-4-2 - January 13 - Winners – R Adams and W Lowrie. Runners Up – G and R Dace. The Jackpot was claimed by E and G Thomas.
Wednesday January 15 - bowls were cancelled.
Twilight Bowls – Thursday January 16 - Winners – Terry and Tania. 2nd – Noel and Glenn.

Tungamah Bowls
Congratulations to Steve Flanagan on winning the Club Championship and 100 – up.
The club wish Steve all the best at the Regions Champion of Champions Weekend Pennant results.
Tungamah played Benalla at Benalla. Although Tungamah won 2 rinks, the club went down overall.
S Flanagan’s team 25 to 21 shots, G Sampson’s team 31 to 23 shots and R Thomson’s team 14 to 35 shots.
