The key forward is one of eight Lions aged 22 or under that played against Gold Coast last week and will meet Collingwood in Saturday's preliminary final at the MCG.
At the ripe old age of 20 he's already won a premiership and last week became the third-youngest AFL player this century to slot 50 goals in a season.
Morris launched his career in unforgettable fashion last May when a spate of game-day injuries meant he debuted in a pair of borrowed boots, hours after playing VFL and squeezing a McDonald's feed in between.
Joe Daniher's shock retirement after the grand final created a hole that needed filling and Morris has since puffed his chest out, regularly winning one-on-one battles with the opposition's best tall defenders.
"A good kid that wants to work, with a bit of swagger," development coach and former 101-game GWS forward Daniel Lloyd told AAP of the 31st pick in the 2023 draft.
"He's got the balance of that confidence and swagger, but backs it up.
"He's one of our hardest workers - all the coaches observed that from the start.
"There's no surprise where he's at now and he's got the mindset to take his game to another level."
Morris isn't afraid to trade verbal barbs or engage in byplay with his more-senior direct opponents.
"In Australia we bring those guys down but he knows he's put the work into the prep that sets him up, so when he goes out there he just thrives on it," Lloyd said.
"He's got a powerful leg and he backs himself, which is a big thing.
"Sometimes you can second guess yourself but most of the time he nails them. He's got some skill."
Father-son picks Will and Levi Ashcroft, aged 21 and 18 respectively, have proved hugely impactful while highly-rated academy prospect Sam Marshall (19) has established himself on a wing this year.
But in Morris and 19-year-old Ty Gallop, taken with pick 42 after exploding in last year's QAFL and lining up at centre-half forward on Saturday, the Lions can boast the discovery of two rough diamonds.
"They're good examples," Lloyd said of the club's strength-based development system yielding outcomes.
"Logan got to the club and made his mark straight away and Ty Gallop's very similar. He's come from the clouds to get drafted and now he's playing in a finals series."
Lloyd, who was a carpenter, debuted at 25 for the Giants and played in their 2019 grand final side.
He knows how tricky it is for young players to acclimatise to the top flight but says the Lions have figured it out.
"It can be daunting but they can be themselves without anything trying to bring them down," he said.
"It's about focusing on why they got drafted and, 'Let's make sure we keep enhancing that'."
