A new shopping competition launched by Greater Shepparton City Council is giving locals the chance to win one of five $100 vouchers by shopping at small businesses for Father’s Day gifts.
The competition runs from August 24 to September 7 and requires shoppers to spend a minimum of $50 on a Father’s Day present at any small business in Greater Shepparton.
To enter, shoppers must upload their receipt and fill out an online entry form.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said the initiative celebrated fathers while boosting local businesses.
Council place manager Bonnie McIntosh emphasised the wide selection of local gift options.
“From sporting gear and barbecue accessories to locally made treats and one-of-a-kind handmade items, there’s no shortage of Father’s Day gifts right here in Greater Shepparton,” she said.
Open to those aged 18 and over, the competition accepts both in-store and online purchases.
Entries close on September 7, with winners to be drawn between 3pm and 5pm on September 9.
